Mid-Summer, Fresh Perspective 💕

Hi Reader,

Can I let you in on a little secret?

Sometimes the best reset isn’t a new planner, a new routine, or a complete makeover.

Sometimes it’s simply giving yourself permission to begin again.

Welcome to Beauty Quips – Issue No. 2: The Mid-Summer Reset.

Summer has a funny way of getting away from us. Between vacations, family schedules, late nights, and everything else life throws our way, our routines often become…well…less routine.

If you’ve skipped your skincare a few nights, lived in a messy bun more days than you’d planned, or can’t remember the last time you did something just because it made you feel good, you’re in good company.

The good news?

You don’t have to overhaul your life to feel refreshed.

You just have to start with one small thing.

The 10-Minute Beauty Reset

If I only had ten minutes to get ready, here’s exactly what I’d do.

✨ Fresh, hydrated skin.

✨ A little mascara to brighten my eyes.

✨ Brows to frame my face.

✨ A swipe of lip color.

✨ And lately…my favorite finishing touch has been Red Aspen’s Skin Tint.

I love it because it gives me that “my skin, but better” look. It’s lightweight, evens everything out without feeling heavy, and somehow makes me look a little more rested—even on the days I definitely don’t feel that way.

It’s become one of those products I reach for without even thinking because it helps me feel polished in just a couple of minutes.

Beauty doesn’t have to be complicated to make a difference.

Beauty Myth vs. Truth

Myth: Looking put together takes an hour and a drawer full of expensive products.

Truth: Most days, confidence comes from a few simple habits you can actually stick with.

Healthy skin.

A little color.

Neat nails.

A smile.

That’s more than enough.

Heather’s Picks This Week

💕 Favorite Face Product: Red Aspen Skin Tint (no surprise there!)

💕 Favorite Summer Nail Set: Audacious Aline The set that’s making me smile every time I look down at my hands.

💕 Favorite Lip: Whatever shade is living in my purse this week—the one I can swipe on without needing a mirror.

Sometimes the products we love most aren’t the fanciest ones. They’re the ones that make getting ready feel effortless.

Little Luxury

Here’s your challenge this week.

Find ten quiet minutes.

Make your favorite drink.

Put on a little lip color.

Paint your nails.

Step outside for some fresh air.

Not because you have somewhere important to be.

But because you are worth ten minutes.

Quote of the Week

“You don’t have to change everything to feel like yourself again. Sometimes one small act of self-care is all it takes.”

Thank you for spending a few minutes with me today. My hope is that Beauty Quips feels like a little pause in your week—a place where beauty is simple, encouraging, and always within reach.

Until next Thursday…

Beauty should fit your life—not complicate it. Because confidence is always in style. 💕

Hello Reader, Welcome to another issue of Beauty Quips—your weekly pause for beauty, encouragement, and little luxuries that fit real life. This week has been especially full for me. Between helping with Vacation Bible School, unpacking from our recent move, and putting together this issue, I've been reminded that busy seasons don't have to mean putting ourselves last. Sometimes the greatest gift we can give ourselves is removing one more thing from our mental to-do list. That's exactly what...

Beauty Quips The Weekly Beauty Magazine for Busy Women Fifty-five. If you had asked me years ago what 55 would look like, I'm not sure this is what I would have pictured. These days life looks a little different than it used to. I'm juggling business, family, faith, and trying to remember where I left my coffee. (Please tell me I'm not the only one!) But one thing I've learned is this: Growing older doesn't mean giving up on feeling beautiful. It means choosing beauty that actually fits your...

Hey there, Have you ever had one of those days where everything feels just a little… chaotic? The kind where you’re running behind, juggling all the things, and getting fully ready just isn’t happening. I’ve had a lot of those days lately. And I’ve realized something… Even when life feels messy, there are a few small things that help me still feel a little pulled together. Nothing big. Nothing time-consuming. Just simple things like: 💅 having my nails done 👁 a quick swipe of mascara 💄 a...
